Samtec Intros High Performance Wire Cable Assembly
Wire cable assembly.
New Albany, IN — Samtec has introduced the PowerStrip/35 Discrete Wire Cable Assembly, designed for applications that call for high performance, reliability, and durability. When mated with the company's PowerStrip/35 high power terminal (PET Series), the system has a current carrying capacity of 28.9A per contact at an ambient temperature of +75°C (with 2 gold plated pins energized and 10 AWG cable).
The PowerStrip/35 Discrete Wire Cable Assembly (PESS Series) is available with 2, 4, 6 or 8 dual-leaf blade contacts on a 6.35mm (0.250-in.) pitch. The system is double- or single-ended, with 10 or 12 AWG discrete wire cable, and choice of assembled lengths. A positive latching system for increased unmating force makes them well suited for rugged use and harsh environments.
Samtec's PowerStrip interconnect family is designed to meet a variety of high current applications, and includes three product levels differentiated by size and power output: PowerStrip/35, PowerStrip/25 and PowerStrip/15.
In addition to the discrete wire power system, the PowerStrip family includes a power/signal combination cable system, power and power/signal combinations in right angle and vertical orientations, as well as a hinged system and press fit termination for board level applications.
