Cicoil: Flat Cables for Extreme Temperatures

Valencia, CA — Cicoil's Festoon Cables are designed for continuous flexing and extreme temperature applications (-65 to +260°C). Especially suitable for use in overhead crane, gantry and material handling systems, these UV-resistant cables are an excellent alternative to PVC and Neoprene jacketed flat cables that do not provide reliability in severe environment and harsh weather conditions.
The company's crystal-clear silicone encapsulation is tear-resistant, needs no external "armor" or conduit for protection, and will not deform or wear during a lifetime of more than 10 million cycles, even under tight bending radius and high-speed flexing conditions. Unlike most other flat festoon cables, these unusual silicone extruded cables are unaffected when exposed to flames (UL 94 V-0), extreme heat, ice, snow, salt water, acid rain, coarse sand, shock, vibration, sunlight and most chemicals. For applications that require abrasion and adhesion resistance, the company offers anti-friction coating options.
The proprietary extrusion process allows multiple conductors to be placed in a flat cable, precisely controlling the spacing of the wires, the jacket thickness and the overall cable shape. The flat construction allows for stacking multiple cables where space is at a premium.
Standard "off the shelf" Festoon Cables (4 AWG to 28 AWG) are available from stock and custom designs incorporating shielded wires or signal pairs, tubing for air or fluid transfer, and the company's patented Strip Mount
fastening strip are available with minimum lead times.
The Festoon Cables are UL Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS-Compliant and are manufactured in an automated, climate controlled environment.
