Datest Wins NPI Award for New SPEA Flying Prober
Fremont, CA — Datest has been awarded a 2011 NPI Award in the category of Test and Inspection — ICT for the SPEA 4060 Flying Probe Tester. The award was presented to the company during IPC APEX 2011 in Las Vegas.
The 4060 features simultaneous top- and bottom-side probing, allowing PCBAs to be tested without the need to flip the board for re-test on the opposite side. In addition, simultaneous probing on both sides of the printed circuit board assembly can provide higher test coverage. With limited test access becoming more prevalent in today's designs, the ability to target both sides of a board provides more flexibility in order to meet specific customer requirements.
As a business partner with SPEA, Datest presented the 4060 with its new instrumentation that is designed to increase test accuracy and resolution while increasing measurement speed.
