Fancort Intros Heated Small Force Servopress
Programmable heated R&D press.
West Caldwell, NJ — Fancort Industries has developed a programmable servopress with three easily interchangeable actuators with different force ranges: 0.2 to 20kgf, 0.4 to 40kgf and 0.6 to 60kgf. Designed to meet the requirements of a major government agency, the press also has the capability of heating the material to temperatures of 400°C, but in such a way that the heat does not distort the die set which holds the parts.
According to the company, the result is a press that is a very accurate, low force, assembly press that incorporates heater plates for compressing and heating semiconductor materials. The press is for R&D, and incorporates extreme versatility to handle the broad range of materials in the R&D program.
The system has been designed to be easy to use with software that allows for easy programming of force, distance and time variables, and then storing these programs on a PC. The company's solution includes a teach pendant and software for operating the press, and a simple control box for setting temperatures on the heater plates.
