New QPL MIL RF Inductors from Gowanda
RF inductors approved for MIL-PRF-39010.
Gowanda, NY — Gowanda Electronics has introduced two new series of inductors that meet the military's Qualified Products List requirements for "Established Reliability". The company's ER10M and ER17S thru-hole RF inductor series are approved to MIL-PRF-39010, Level M. Such ER approval requires extensive life testing across thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental test spectrums. The ER10M and ER17S series represent the company's first ER products for the military market.
The new inductors have been designed for RF applications in military, aerospace and defense communities. This includes use in communication, guidance and security applications, as well as in radar, test & evaluation, and special mission applications. ER10M is a wirewound, molded design approved for MIL-PRF-39010/08, /09 and /10. Inductances range from 0.10µH to 1000µH; Q Min from 25 to 55; SRF Min from 3.4 to 680MHz; DCR from 0.08 to 72Ω Max, and DC current rating from 28 to 1350mA. Operating Temperature range is -55 to +125°C for /08 and -55 to +105°C for /09 and /10.
ER17S is a wirewound, molded, shielded design approved for MIL-PRF-39010 /01,/02 and /03. Inductances range from 0.10µH to 1000µH; Q from 40 to 60 Min; SRF from 3.8 to 250MHz Min; DCR from 0.025 to 17.5Ω Max; and DC Current Rating from 70 to 1790mA. The inductors have an operating temperature from -55 to +105°C. The new ER10M and ER17S inductors meet the relevant MIL-PRF-39010 specifications to failure rate Level M. Life testing is ongoing at the company's in-house environmental testing lab and will continue until the more demanding failure rate level "Level R" attained. According to the company, these new inductors represent the most reliable off-the-shelf inductors offered in the industry for high-reliability applications. and the need for products which address the needs of the military and aerospace markets.
