Mydata Updates Jet Printer
Rowley, MA — Mydata has introduced a new release of the MY500 Jet Printing technology, which the company states will reduce the response time to the end customer, while increasing quality and opening up new design opportunities. The new release of the jet printer is reportedly capable of balancing a pick-and-place line rated at 30,000 cph.
According to the company, investing in jet printing provides immediate time savings in production and greatly increases customer response time. With jet printing, time can be saved right through the SMT manufacturing process — setting up a new job in minutes based on CAD data only, changing over in seconds, quick last-minute revisions to a program and no time spent on stencil handling. Customers on the forefront of technology also turn to jet printing to enable new, challenging, board designs and take advantage of the latest packaging technologies. Screen printing is believed to have reached its limits when it comes to mixing technology on a board, according to the International Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI), an independent industry organization, in a comprehensive report.
