PVA Intros Non-Contact Micro Dispensing Valve
Non-contact micro-dispensing valve.
Halfmoon, NY — PVA (Precision Valve & Automation, Inc.) has launched its new FCM200 Non-Contact Micro Dispensing Valve. With this new valve, fine lines or dots are dispensed up to 5mm from the target surface to create a true "non-contact" application. Utilized for coating surface mount components, underfilling BGAs and corner bonding, the new valve is requisite for flex circuit, cell phone, PDA and medical manufacturing.

The valve provides higher flow rates than a typical "jetting" valve and has reduced flow path volume and enhanced actuation for clean line breaks. This valve dispenses fine streams or discrete dots of low to moderate viscosity underfill, encapsulants, conformal coatings, and lubricants, all while delivering highly repeatable results with superior pattern definition.

The feature rich FCM200 has a minimum shot size under 1.0µl for applications requiring intricate detail and control. In addition, it requires no z-axis movement for streaming of underfill, conformal coating, lubricant, etc. The flow can easily be adjusted using a micrometer adjustment with lock ring and interchangeable tip, and nozzle retainer designs for various dispensing profiles add to the versatility of the valve. The valve also provides pulse-free, quiet operation.

Easily maintained, with no special tools required, the FCM200 includes a disposable feed tube and a self-cleaning feature to keep the outlet nozzle clean. It is compatible with all of the company's automated platforms.
