Design-2-Part Relocates Nashville Show to Huntsville
Prospect, CT — The Design-2-Part Show management has relocated the previously scheduled September, 2010 show in Nashville, Tennessee to nearby Huntsville, Alabama. The change is being made because of the recent rains and flooding that have inundated the Nashville region and severely damaged the area's infrastructure. The Mid-South Design-2-Part Show will now take place at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on September 14 & 15, 2010 — one day earlier than original dates for Nashville.

The original venue, the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center and Hotel, was heavily hit and received major flood damage. At this time, Gaylord management is unsure when they will reopen for business and can't guarantee that the September event would be able to take place without serious logistical problems.

"It is terrible what has happened to the Nashville, Tennessee region and we wish them a speedy recovery," said Jerry Schmidt, President of The Job Shop Company, producers of the Design-2-Part Shows. "The Gaylord properties have elegantly hosted many Design-2-Part Shows and we look forward to returning a show to their Nashville venue in the near future."

"We are very fortunate to be in a position to act quickly and move the show to Huntsville, Alabama," added Mr. Schmidt. "We are constantly researching strong manufacturing regions that can successfully support a contract manufacturing event like ours and convention centers that can provide a comfortable working environment for both our exhibiting and attending customers. With over 350 automotive-related manufacturers and 330 aerospace companies alone in Alabama — many in the Huntsville region — this city was already on the D2P schedule for a show in 2011." The Mid-South Design-2-Part Show will provide design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and purchasing personnel the chance to meet face-to-face with local and national contract manufacturers to source custom parts, components, services, and design. Exhibiting companies will showcase their latest manufacturing technologies from design and prototyping through finishing services. The show floor will feature more than 300 product categories for the metals, plastics, rubber and electronics industries.

Attendees will get their best opportunity of the year to find new suppliers that can help them reduce their manufacturing costs, improve their quality, and shorten time-to-market. In addition to finding new suppliers, visitors come to the show looking for new technologies to improve their processes. Design-2-Part Shows are working shows and visitors are encouraged to bring sample parts and drawings.
