Rugged Data Connectors from Mil-Con
Rugged data connectors.
Wood Dale, IL — Mil-Con, Inc. is introducing a new series of data connectors designed to meet harsh environmental requirements where high thermal and corrosion resistance is imperative. The new connectors reportedly provide superior performance, reliability, and secure data communications throughout the product life cycle. Utilizing spring-loaded contacts, mating connectors can be significantly misaligned without impacting performance.
A spring probe system houses individual touchpad contact areas which enable an effective electrical engagement point of contact. The individual touchpad contacts do not contain crevices, thus preventing contaminant accumulation — a desirable feature in critical field conditions. Spring probe contact systems can be a superior solution for ensuring high performance in critical operations requiring high reliability connectors.
The connectors meet a minimum of 1 meter immersion, and 20 meter immersion applications are available. They provide polarized mating, and are capable of supporting up to CAT5 data transfer rates. The connectors are available in filtered and non-filtered versions, in rectangular and custom cylindrical variations, and provide highly reliable, simple and quick coupling.
The data connectors are suitable for data transfer devices, detachable equipment, encryption devices, hand-held radios, and HMI devices.
