DEK: Asset Management Maximizes Print
Rolling Meadows, IL — DEK has launched a new Asset Management pilot program to make systems overview easier and required resource allocation more predictable. This, combined with the company's advanced suite of customer service tools, ensures that print process investments will go farther than ever before to maximize Value of Ownership.
Designed to provide a multitude of machine performance, maintenance and diagnostics tools, the Asset Management offering takes service to a whole new level. Combining remote diagnostics capabilities, detailed maintenance programs and a full parts and labor warranty, Asset Management allows electronics firms to actively predict and manage maintenance costs over the life of the printer while delivering optimal system performance, therefore maximizing equipment investment.
Within designated service hours, machine operators can use a help button to activate Asset Management remote diagnostics. DEK technical experts then gain access to the system, with a live view directly into the installed machine. From there, specialists can upload or download software, control the machine or help troubleshoot production issues. This technology exponentially improves uptime, as process and equipment analysis can occur almost instantly and the downtime associated with waiting for face-to-face service calls can be eliminated.
In addition to Asset Management, DEK users can benefit from a host of various service options, all backed by the company's global resources. Online support tools allow customers to view machine configurations, download machine manuals, get the latest software or view equipment status and history. 3D Find-a-Part offers the ability to view each machine and its parts as per the specific bill of materials used to produce the system. This enables accurate parts sourcing for easy ordering when required. E-Inquiry then facilitates identification of stock availability of spare parts, price confirmation, visual verification of the part and provides details for any required special instructions.
