Lightspeed Expands to Large New Facility
Part of the production floor in new plant.
Haverhill, MA — Lightspeed Manufacturing has moved from its old factory in Methuen, Mass. to a new 60,000foot
modern light manufacturing facility in Haverhill. Lightspeed, a contract manufacturer, has moved into an industrial park long associated with cutting-edge high-tech electronics manufacturing companies.
The move was prompted by continued growth and the need for more manufacturing space. Lightspeed is a flexible, full-service provider of a full range of contract electronics manufacturing services, including prototyping, PCB assembly, conformal coating, box build, supply chain management, and complete order fulfillment. The company makes parts for everything from collision avoidance systems for luxury automobiles to technology for defusing and detonating roadside bombs to entertainment systems for commercial jets, and has several contracts with military contractors.
Lightspeed already has three installed lines of electronic circuit assembly equipment, and specialized cells for BGA services and other specialized manufacturing processes. Plans call for everything to be fully automated in the new plant.
