Tripp Lite Intros Rackmount Console Controller

Chicago, IL — Tripp Lite has added two new models to its popular line of Rackmount Console KVM Switches. The B020-U16-19-K and B020-U08-19-K KVM Switches provide cost-effective, highly flexible solutions for controlling multiple computers from a single console. They combine a large 19-in. LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse and 8- or 16-port KVM switch in a compact, slide-out 1U rackmountable housing.

These new Rackmount Console KVM Switches come with eight P778-Series USB/PS2 Combo KVM Cable Kits that permit connection to either PS/2 or USB servers, with no need for special adapters or additional cables.

The new rackmount switch supports Windows® (2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7), Linux, Mac® and Sun; server selection is made by pushbuttons, hotkeys or on-screen display (OSD); OSD menus in English, Spanish, French, German or Japanese; unit's LCD monitor supports resolutions up to 1280 x 1024; an additional USB port permits peripherals such as flash drives to be shared by all connected servers; external console port allows connection of an external local console or IP device; control up to 512 servers by cascading additional B022-Series KVM Switches.

According to the company, the reliable, cost-effective server management solution, occupies just 1U of rack space, with cable kits included to simplify cable management plus optional IP capability.
