Glenbrook Technologies Wins Second Award for Patented Invention
Randolph,NJ — For the second time this year, Glenbrook Technologies has been honored for its innovations in x-ray imaging technology. The Research and Development Council of New Jersey has named the company a 2009 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award Winner. In August, the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame also honored Glenbrook with its Invention Advancement Award for 2009.
Other 2009 Edison Patent Award Winners include Alcatel-Lucent, Bell Laboratories; the Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company and Exxon-Mobil Research & Engineering Company. The R&D Council supports the advancement of technology and innovation and celebrates individual achievements in all aspects of R&D.
Both the Hall of Fame and the R&D Council awards recognize Glenbrook's patented x-ray imaging technology, which produces highly magnified fluoroscopic images that reveal tiny anatomical details, and displays them on a video monitor in full motion, using very low levels of radiation. This capability is not available in any of today's other radiological imaging modalities, including angiography, digital radiography, MRI, CT, PET or SPET.
