ECD To Showcase Newest Additions to Profiling Suite at Productronica
Milwaukie OR –
ECD, of Milwaukie OR, a worldwide leader in thermal process yield improvement tools, will be showcasing the latest additions to its suite of profiling products at the upcoming Productronica show in Munich.

These will include the recently introduced OvenCHECKER™, ECD’s “no-thermocouples required” single-pallet, profiler-included, reflow oven verification tool.

Combined with MEGAM.O.L.E.®20, the industry’s only twenty channel thermal profiler, and V-M.O.L.E.®, ECD’s PCB profile verification tool, the suite of products provides yield-enhancing methods to establish recipe requirements, characterize and verify profiles, and ensure that the oven is continuing to operate in spec with the profile parameters.

All products are designed to be both engineering-sophisticated and operator-friendly. Features such as the “OK Button” on all three tools give a clear “Go/No-Go” signal, enabling decisions based on the engineer’s profiling-parameter input to be made at the operator level, saving both production throughput and Engineer time.

“Readiness indicators” on the profilers themselves eliminate any wasted runs that may occur if any of the profilers are too warm or there’s an open-thermocouple condition. Following the profile, the Target-10 function of the M.A.P.® software facilitates honing in on the location of a failed profile. Over one hundred eighty-five customizable data extractions provide for substantial analysis, and for the ability to customize one-page reports for an EMS or OEM, based on their specific needs.

It is after the initial profile has been established and verified using the MEGAM.O.L.E.®20 and/or the V-M.O.L.E.® that customer surveys show the thermal management process often breaks down. Utilizing ECD’s robust M.A.P® software as it travels through the oven, the new OvenCHECKER™ compares the oven’s profile to the engineer’s target-profile input, and with a single button push, the patent-pending “OK Button,” indicates if the oven is in or out of specification. Able to store over ninety runs, the OvenCHECKER™ allows an operator to verify profiles all day without having to transfer data or find an engineer.

A  long-life lithium rechargeable battery, charged via USB connection, ensures the OvenCHECKER,™  is charged and ready…for thousands of runs.

ECD will be co-exhibiting at Productronica in Hall A3 Stand 146 with XDry, whose XDry M.O.L.E., based on the V-M.O.L.E.® from ECD, is a new process audit tool for its line of ultra-low humidity desiccant dry cabinets. The XDry M.O.L.E. adds a new dimension to recording and reporting internal/external temperature and humidity inside a dry cabinet.  According to Kevin McCarten, Managing Director, XDry Corporation, "XDry M.O.L.E. adapts an industry standard temperature profiling system to include moisture measurements. Using ECD's proven data acquisition technology and M.O.L.E.® MAP reporting software gives users a familiar look and feel to analyze and report on actual cabinet conditions."
