Extech Intros Vibration Meter & Laser Tachometer
Vibration meter and laser tachometer.
Waltham, MA — Extech Instruments has introduced its new 461880 vibration meter and combination laser tachometer. The multifunction meter is suitable for measuring acceleration, velocity and displacement, as well as RPM and linear surface speed. The instrument has a large LCD that rotates the numerical readout 180° following the orientation of the meter.
The unit's Vibration Meter uses a remote vibration sensor with a magnetic adapter on a 39-in. (1m) cable, and has a wide frequency range of 10Hz to 1kHz in rms or peak value measurement modes. The product's Manual/Auto Store/Recall function can store and display up to 1000 readings; the Data Hold function freezes the reading in the display, and Auto Shut-Off saves battery drain.
The 461880's Tachometer component features a laser for greater distance, non-contact measurements up to 4.9-ft. (1.5m), and has the capability to store Last, Max and Min readings.
The new combination meter is suitable for QC and repairs of linear or rotating conveyance systems as well as noise, vibration, harshness (NVH) testing of industrial or mechanical components. The 461880 comes complete with a remote vibration sensor, magnetic mount, wheels for linear surface speed or RPM (cone tip and flat tip), reflective tape, 4 AA batteries, software with cable, and a hard carrying case.
