SMTA to Offer Free Sessions and Events at SMTAI
Minneapolis, MN — In an effort to accommodate the numerous companies affected by the struggling global economy, the SMTA is offering free events and cost-saving options for SMTA International attendees. The conference will be held at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, California on October 4- 8, 2009.

Saving money is crucial for companies during the current economic condition and the SMTA is serious about making networking and learning opportunities available for all companies.

One important cost-saving offering is the 4-for-the-price-of-3 registration for companies sending multiple attendees. This year attendees have more free opportunities than in past years. Events that are free to all attendees include the opening session, Thermal Management Innovations, Options for Controlling Moisture Sensitivity, Reflow Soldering Best Practices for Packages and PWBs During Assembly.

Profiling and Optimizing will include iNEMI Roadmap, Board Talk, Supply Chain Management, Exhibit Floor Panel Discussions, and the Welcome Reception.

For those who have registered for the Technical Conference, the SMTA is offering a free tutorial. On Thursday morning, October 8, star instructor, Rob Rowland, RadiSys Corporation, will teach his popular "Pb-free Reflow and Wave Soldering Yield Improvement" course free to registered attendees. Advance registration is required to ensure adequate space.
