WAGO Wall-Nuts Tests Meet HVAC Standards
Germantown, WI — WAGO Corporation recently subjected the 773 Series Wall-Nuts
connectors to demanding shock and vibration sequence testing. The testing, which adhered to IEC standards, verified the product's contact continuity (no current interruptions during testing) and housing integrity (no physical damage) under extreme conditions.
In-house testing confirmed the product's suitability to a broad range of splicing applications such as HVAC and transportation installations including wiring systems for rail car applications, truck body/trailer applications and other enclosed vehicle wiring systems.
IEC and Germanischer Lloyd testing procedures and guides that were followed include: Vibration strain "Random vibration" (IEC 61373:1999); Vibration 5Hz-150Hz, 4g (GL VI - Part 7, Chapter 2, GL 2003); Shock test "Environmental testing - Single Shock" 50 g, 11ms (IEC 60068-2-27:2008); and Vibration 5Hz-2000Hz, 5g (IEC 60068-2-6:2007).
