Ironwood Intros Hi-Performance Socket
Hi-performance test socket.
Ironwood Electronics has introduced its new high performance socket for the 176QFP with E-pad — SS-QFE176SC-01. The contactor is a spring pin (pogo) with 20 gram actuation force per ball and cycle life of 500,000 insertions.
The contactor's self inductance is 1.1nH, insertion loss is <1dB at 11.5GHz (<3dB at 19.3GHz), and capacitance is 0.58pF. The current-carrying capacity of each spring pin is 1.5 amps.
The socket operating temperature range is -40 to +120°C. The specific configuration of the package to be tested in the SS-QFE176SC-01 is QFP, 20 x 20mm body size, 0.4mm pitch with center E-pad and 22 x 22mm lead tip to tip.
To use, drop in the IC part, close clam shell lid, and apply down force using compression screw. This socket can be used for hand test and burn-in applications with the most stringent requirements.
