Remstar: Megastation Vertical Carousel Brochure
Versatile vertical carousel brochure.
Westbrook, ME — Remstar has released a new eight-page brochure on the MegaStation® vertical carousel designed to recover floor space, increase productivity and improve operator ergonomics in electronics applications. The system consists of shelves that rotate up or down via the shortest path, automatically delivering items to an ergonomically positioned pick window.

The brochure outlines how the MegaStation vertical carousel can maximize the use of overhead space and recover up to 75 percent of the floor space typically required for traditional shelving systems. The carousel can require the least amount of floor space of any automated system and with more than 16,250 standard configurations available provides a flexible solution for most applications. The MegaStation vertical carousel is suitable for facilities with a wide range of product height, depths and widths, meeting virtually any storage and retrieval requirement.

By eliminating wasted walk and search time, organizations are able to increase productivity by 2/3 while reducing overall labor costs. Items are automatically presented to the operator with the carousel and integrated pick-to-light system immediately identifies the item and quantity needed to pick or store, increasing productivity and ensuring accuracy. The MegaStation carousel is compatible with several integrated pick-to-light hardware and software technologies and models.

Application photos in the new brochure demonstrate how the vertical carousel delivers items to the operator at an ergonomically positioned work counter eliminating bending, stretching or reaching for stored items. Durable, easy gliding roll out drawers also are available to help put all items at worker's fingertips.
