Diversified Systems Upgrades Production Capabilities
Indianapolis, IN — EMS provider Diversified Systems, Inc. (dsi) has been quietly focusing on internal advancements during the last 18 months. While other EMS providers have cut off their internal spending, dsi has invested in the long term.

An EMS company with a flair for rapid turns, dsi has served the assembly market for over 35 years. This longevity has provided the leadership of dsi with insight into what will carry the company through the long, tough recession — the combination of technology advancements, internal introspection and a quality-driven mission.

Facelifting Quality Systems
In November of 2008, dsi embraced a tremendous change by giving the entire Quality System a facelift. That is no small feat for a company of just over 200 employees that has nearly every quality certification and registration attainable. But, the dedication and hard work paid off for the company when in the March '09 ISO, TS, TL and AS audits, there were NO findings at all. This is a testament to the determination and teamwork that dsi is known to possess. While dsi has always passed these audits, passing with no findings is a feat few companies can meet with just one of the stringent auditable certifications or registrations, let alone the long list held by dsi.

These certifications are: ISO 9001:2008 (General Industrial); AS 9100 Rev B (Aerospace); ISO/TS 16949 (Automotive); MIL-PRF-31032/1 & 2 (QML listed for bare board); TL 9000 Registration Rev 4.0 (Telecommunications); FDA/Good Mfg Practices Registered 1435 (Medical); UL 796, 94 V-0 (130 C); IPC Manufacturing Guidelines (IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610), J-STD-001, IPC-7711/12 Master Training Certified; MIL-2000 (former standard) is now J-STD-001.

Later this year, dsi will add NADCAP to its list of Quality Standards. If quality were not a major commitment to the customers of dsi, the achievement of so many quality standards would not be possible. This type of achievement requires a culture of commitment and the ability to embrace the concepts as well as the dedication of each and every individual in the organization to apply what they have learned. This is what sets Diversified Systems apart from other EMS organizations.
