Express Manufacturing Inc. Opens New Facilities in China
Santa Ana, CA — Express Manufacturing Inc. (EMI) has opened new facilities in China. EAL Electronics Limited is based in Hong Kong. The 120,000-ft2 factory, located in Dong Guan, China, has been fully accredited by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. The assemblies are manufactured using new Fuji-made SMT equipment comparable to equipment used in most U.S. facilities.

The company provides flexible high mix/batch volume and high volume production, RoHS materials handling, turnkey (material sourcing) solutions and DFX (Design for Excellence) services.

With customers in the U.S., Australia, Europe and Asia, the company has grown from a small assembly house 27 years ago into a worldwide electronics manufacturing services (EMS) firm. U.S. customers requiring extremely fast turnaround times and local delivery can utilize the company's U.S.-based facilities, while others can take advantage of low-cost production available in China.

The company reportedly offers customers greater flexibility and solutions targeted to their needs. In addition, production can begin in the U.S. and then be transferred to China as customer needs change.

EMI achieved ISO 13485 compliance status last year and expects to be fully certified in 2009. ISO 13485 will enable the company to capture additional business in the medical products segment, a market which requires adherence to more stringent regulations for reasons of product safety.
