CIT Intros Sub-Mini Pushbuttons
Submini momentary pushbutton switch.
Minneapolis, MN — CIT Relay & Switch has introduced its BSP Series subminiature momentary pushbutton switch. Offering numerous terminals as well as snap-in mounting options, the BSP provides design engineers with a versatile, momentary switch for use in wide variety of applications. Available as single pole and double pole, it offers a choice of silver-plated, gold-plated or gold over silver-plated contacts.

Electrical rating is 3A at 120VAC and 28VDC, 1A at 250VAC. Typical electrical life is 30,000 cycles. Contact resistance is <20mΩ maximum initially at 2 to 4VDC, 100mA. Dielectric strength is 1000V rms minimum with insulation resistance of >1000MΩ minimum. Temperature range is -40 to +85°C, sealed to IP67 standards — SPDT or DPST configuration.

The RoHS-compliant switches have actuators of thermoplastic polyester with housings of 6/6 nylon, glass filled, flame retardant, heat stabilized (UL94V-0). The bracket is tin-plated brass. Contacts and terminal options are: silver-plated copper alloy, gold for dry circuit less than 0.4 volt amps, or gold over silver. The pushbuttons can have round or square caps, and standard colors of red, black or white are available as standard.

Typical applications of the BSP Series switches include consumer electronics, instrumentation, telecommunications, test equipment, computers and computer peripherals, security, audio, medical and wherever applications require sub-miniature process sealed switching.
