Framos Adds to CMOS modules
Munich, Germany — Framos has added a number of compact CMOS modules to its imaging modules to close the gap between image sensors and cameras. These modules are suitable for a variety of applications in devices that require high quality standards in spite of limited space availability. According to the company, the modules provide outstanding image quality.

The products almost exclusively utilize very high-quality CMOS sensors manufactured by Aptina, a key factor in the decision to add them to the company's product range. Furthermore, the resolution range from VGA to a high-resolution 5 megapixel module guarantees ultimate image quality — even for demanding applications that require a high level of detail.

The modules have very low power consumption and include a lens as standard equipment. Various output formats such as USB 2.0, digital YUV and analog TV offer the integrator a convenient choice of the right module depending on the area of application.

Users have access to specialized modules adapted to individual requirements, for automotive, security and medical applications. For large quantities, the manufacturer also offers the adaptation of special configurations or technical functions.
