A production line in Singapore, similar to the one being set up in a new facility in Malaysia.
Singapore — Nestronics, a Singapore-based contract manufacturer specializing in medium volume, high mix electronics with manufacturing in Singapore and Chennai, India, plans to open a third facility in Johor, Malaysia. Presently, Nestronics, specializes in PC boards and turnkey manufacturing of medical, telecommunication, industrial instrumentation, avionics and oil and gas equipment, has four manufacturing lines operating in Singapore and two lines operating in India.

Plans call for expansion at both of those facilities, ans well as opening a new facility in Malaysia, set to go on line in January 2009. The new Malaysian facility will initially have two lines operating with provision for expansion. It will have all of the quality systems that have been incorporated into the Singapore facility including ISO13485 for medical equipment as well as AS9100 for Avionics.

The operation will be housed in a 55,000 square foot facility, will initially employ 100 people and is only a 45 minute drive from the facility in Singapore, enabling smooth interaction between facilities. In addition, the facility will be expandable to six lines and will offer approximately a 10 percent cost savings on labor as compared to Singapore and India.
