IRphotonics Intros Thermal Spot Cure
Thermal spot cure system.
Hamden, CT — IRphotonics has launched a new type of thermal spot curing system, branded under the name iCure
. The first product available in the Series, the iCure AS200, is described as a revolutionary inline fiber optic system that provides heat by Infrared radiation in a portable unit, to deliver faster and stronger cures than traditional methods.
Using infrared light to generate heat, the system is tailor-made for automated manufacturing processes requiring rapid adhesive curing and localized heating of bonded assemblies.
The new system offers fast and strong curing, since infrared radiation is easily and rapidly absorbed by thermal epoxies. The system's offers high precision because the light guide provides precise and localized heating of bonded assemblies.
In addition, the system can reduce costs, since it lends itself to automated manufacturing processes; it eliminates the need for multiple thermal ovens and offers higher productivity.
