Vertical Air-to-Air Testing C from CSZ
Vertical thermal shock chamber.
Cincinnati, OH — Cincinnati Sub-Zero (CSZ) has introduced a new compact vertical thermal-shock chamber, the "VTS-1", which combines a state-of-the-art product with high performance, small footprint, and an array of standard features. The new unit consists of a compact, air-to-air chamber with distinct "hot" and "cold" zones for thermal shock testing.

A distinguishing feature of the chamber is its ability to operate as an independent thermal cycling chamber — delivering the value of two chambers in one system. The chamber offers interior workspace of 1 cubic ft. in a very small footprint, maximizing testing space while minimizing storage and use space demands.

According to the company, sophisticated programming, communication, and other operational features are standard, enabling superior performance in all models. Standard features include the company's EZT-560i touch-screen controller, providing the ability to control each chamber separately, or together, for thermal-shock operation. The controller incorporates data logging, data-file access via USB-compatible memory stick, Ethernet control and monitoring, alarm notification via email or phone text message, data-file backup, and full-system security for the ultimate in test-chamber control. The chamber operates on 208/230VAC, 1- or 3-phase power. Additional standard features include emergency-power switch, traveling cable port, casters, and leveling legs. The product transfer carriage provides smooth, steady conveyance and does not require the compressed air supply needed for pneumatic transfer mechanisms. The testing functionality meets a variety of commercial and military-grade specifications.
