IMS Intros Thin Film Resistors Current-sensing resistor chips. Portsmouth, RI — International Manufacturing Services, Inc. (IMS) is introducing its LCI Series thin film surface mount current sensing chip resistors. The new resistors represent a simple and cost-effective solution for applications requiring extremely low resistance. The resistors have nickel barrier terminals and are available in case sizes 0402 through 2512. The standard value range is from 0.003Ω to 1Ω with tolerances to 1 percent. These resistors are power rated to 3W at 70°C ambient air temperature in 1225 case size. The resistors are RoHS-compliant and are suitable for power management applications, over-current protection, voltage regulation modules, and engine control and battery circuits.
