Topline: QFP Pin Straightening Tool
QFP pin straightening template.
Garden Grove, CA — Topline has introduced a universal QFP tool that enables reworking and aligning bent pins on all sizes QFP and TQFP, pitch 0.4mm to 1.0mm. The tool consists of a durable metal template that includes 46 different QFP patterns, allowing the use of standard hand tools such as dental picks and tweezers to adjust QFP leads to match recessed template slots.
The tool is suitable for recovery of expensive QFP, TQFP and LQFP ICs, an essential workbench tool for the serious technician involved in rework The tool can also be used at incoming QA to verify the number of pins, body size and pitch of unknown QFP components. The template is constructed of heavy duty conductive 50 mil (1.27mm) thick stainless steel with 5 mil deep etched recessed patterns that precisely match the leads of the QFP/TQFP. The ESD safe tool should be used on a grounded bench pad with wrist strap to avoid ESD damage to ICs. The template is lead-free, RoHS-compliant.
