Envirotronics Acquired by Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH
Grand Rapids, MI, — Envirotronics, a manufacturer of environmental test chambers and related equipment has been acquired by Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH, a division of the Schunk Group of Heuchelheim, Germany. Envirotronics will operate as a division of Weiss. Mr. Jens Schaefer from Weiss has been named President of Envirotronics. Since its foundation in 1979, Envirotronics has been a privately owned company.
Winn Setchfield and Dave VanderLinde, co-owners of Envirotronics, announced their retirement and decision to sell the company in April of this year. Winn Setchfield was founder and CEO of Envirotronics. Dave VanderLinde was Vice President of Sales.
Weiss Umwelttechnik has over 50 years of experience in the manufacture of environmental test chambers and employs 1,700 people in 21 group companies in Europe and in China. Weiss is a member of the Schunk-Group.
