Digitaltest: Flying Probe Front Loader
Condor flying prober.
St.-Blankenloch, Germany — Digitaltest is showcasing its second generation Flying Prober Condor 500, the latest addition to its suite of electronic test solutions. Using unique drive technology and linear motors to provide high speed and high accuracy in fine-pitch applications, the Condor 500 is 30 percent faster than previous models. Integrated boundary-scan is an option on this platform.
To counter concerns manufacturers have about the damage caused by conventional probe testing techniques, particularly in complex and high-density boards, the company has integrated its "Soft Landing" technology into the Condor 500. This new development presents a shuttle concept with easy front-board loading.
Also new is the 19-in. Functional Test Rack MTS30 user-specific instruments applications. In addition to the MTS' functional test modules, the system offers a selection of IEEE or PXI extensions. The Pylon Fixture Interface can be adjusted in height and offers ICT, FCT, High Power, Optical and Pneumatic I/Os. Additional tools can be implemented on request, as can any project-specific instruments.
