Micro-Mini GPS Grade TCXOs from NDK
Belvidere, IL — NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) is introducing its NT2520SA series, an SMD TCXO — Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator — measuring 2.5 x 2.0mm with a height of only 0.8mm max. and weighing just 0.013g, making it one of the smallest and lightest TCXOs available in the world. Applications include GPS, in-car navigation, vehicle tracking, and emergency road support systems.
The oscillator exhibits very tight frequency stability of ±0.5ppm over the broad operating temperature range of -30 to +85°C, which makes it suitable for GPS, PND, and cellular phone handset applications. It is available in frequencies ranging from 13 to 38.4MHz and popular GPS frequencies of 13, 16.368, 16.369, 16.8, 19.2, 24.5535, 26, 27.456, and 38.4MHz.
The oscillator operates on a low supply voltage range of +2.4 to 3.2VDC ±0.1V while drawing just 1.5mA max with an output level of 0.8V (P-P) minimum. Aging characteristics are ±1 ppm maximum per year. The NT2520SA is in lead-free packaging which meets the requirements for reflow profiling using lead-free solder and is RoHS compliant.
