Fujipoly: Sandwich Connector for LCDs
Self-supporting solid connector.
Carteret, NJ — The unique "sandwich-like" construction of Fujipoly's Self-Supporting Solid Connector provides both a stable installation base and a highly reliable electrical connection to the printed circuit board. The carbon-based Zebra
®
connector is available with 140, 240 or 500 conductors per inch and is rugged enough for applications ranging from wristwatches to aircraft avionics displays.
Most electronic devices today incorporate some kind of LCD display as one element in their design. To function properly, the LCD requires both structural support and reliable electric contact between the printed circuit board and the display.
The standard Solid Self-Supporting Zebra connector has a 0.020-in. wide connector element that is mated with non-conductive silicone rubber supports on either one or two sides. The connector offers a current-carrying capacity of 0.050 amps per 0.035 x 0.035-in. pad, and is available in eight different widths to accommodate multiple LCDs designs with a minimum glass lip overhang of 0.050-in.
