Huntingdon Valley, PA — Manncorp is offering its lowest-ever pricing on its 4-head dual-gantry high-speed pick-and-place system, the MC683, configured with two pairs of heads that work independently on each gantry. While the two heads on one gantry are picking and placing from one bank of feeders, the other dual heads are simultaneously working from the opposite bank of feeders.
This is a heavy-duty, ball screw-driven system with DC-servo motors and closed-loop, non-contact linear encoding for ±0.01mm X-Y repeatability. A new automatic 3-stage conveyor also contributes to attainment of mounting speeds of up to 10,500 cph.
Along with speed, the machine provides the versatility and high precision needed for a wide range of production assignments. Cognex® on-the-fly vision alignment is for 0201s, SOICs and µBGAs, while bottom vision handles 15mil pitch QFPs and large BGAs. A plug-and-play feeder docking trolley that can be configured and loaded off-line, allows almost instantaneous replacement of a bank of 32 smart feeders for component replenishment or production changeovers.
