Agilent: Automated X-Ray Inspection System
Automated X-ray inspection system.
.
Santa Clara, CA — Agilent Technologies, Inc.'s Medalist x6000 Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI) system finds defects in solder joints, resulting in higher end-product quality and lower warranty repair and scrap costs. The system reportedly achieves more than 90-percent defect coverage while meeting or exceeding line beat rates. Its simplified user interface also shortens test development time.
The company has placed a system with the Zollner Group, a global electronics manufacturing services provider, which will use the X6000 to enhance its test and inspection capabilities. Already a user of the company's existing Medalist 5DX AXI solution, the EMS provider is one of the early adopters of the new x6000 AXI solution in Europe.
