Astrodyne: 225W Switching Power Supplies
Switching power supply.
Mansfield, MA — Astrodyne has introduced a multi-package PMK225 line of high density switching power supplies that provide output power of 225 Watts with active power factor correction. All models accept universal input from 90-264VAC and 6 models, in each package style provide single outputs from 5VDC to 48VDC. The supplies meet the space and performance needs for I.T.E systems and instrumentation applications.

Utilizing high density SMT construction and providing power densities of up to 4 Watts/in.3, the power supplies offer dramatically reduced case sizes which are up to 30 percent smaller than products with similar output power.

The PMK225 series may be ordered in either of three package styles, including U-Channel, fully enclosed or DIN Rail mounts. All models have short circuit, overvoltage and over current protection and an integral power-good LED indicator.

The supplies operate at 100 percent capability to a temperature of 50°C with 18CFM forced cooling. Dimensions are 7 X 3.86 X 1.5-in. (U-Channel) and all models have screw terminal input/output connections. Medical (PMMK225) UL/EN60601-1 versions are also available. The products are approved for UL/EN60950-1 safety specifications.
