Oak-Mitsui Technologies and Shocking Technologies Sign LOI
Hoosick Falls, NY — Oak-Mitsui Technologies, LLC (a subsidiary of Mitsui Kinzoku of Japan) and Shocking Technologies have signed a letter of intent to work together to bring Shocking's X static
Voltage Switchable dielectric material to market, including Sanmina-SCI eESD
technology. Shocking and its partner, Sanmina-SCI, have demonstrated 30,000V protection levels in memory devices utilizing embedded ESD (eESD).
The voltage switchable polymer technology provides a less than 25µ thick layer in printed circuit boards that protects 100 percent of the I/Os on the board when designed and optimized with eESD. The material is especially well suited for cell phones and other handheld devices, where it not only improves reliability but decreases cost and saves space.
