Tapecon Announces ITAR Registration.
Buffalo, NY — Tapecon Inc., a full-service manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, decals, membrane switches, custom fabrications, and digital printing, has been ITAR registered. The registration covers both its Buffalo and Rochester NY manufacturing facilities. Companies that are involved in the manufacture or export of ITAR controlled goods or services are required to register with the U.S. State Department, which the company performed effective March 13, 2008.
ITAR refers to International Traffic in Arms Regulations — a set of U.S. government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services that are on the United States Munitions List.
"We believe our ITAR registration provides growth opportunities within our key markets, while distinguishing us from the competition," says Barb Purificato, Business Development Sales Manager at Tapecon. According to the company, the ITAR registration demonstrates the its continued commitment to serve and grow its portfolio with government, homeland security and defense-related markets.
