Ideal Upgrades LAN Tester/Certifier
Sycamore, IL — Ideal Industries has made a major upgrade to its popular LANTEK 7 certification tester, giving it enhanced capability to sweep up to 1GHz of bandwidth, enabling it to test ISO F, CAT6A, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and beyond, effectively future-proofing the customer's investment. The previous generation of LANTEK 7 measured a frequency range up to 750MHz.
Key features of the LANTEK 7G include: High definition 1/4 VGA color display for easy interpretation of results; full function PCMCIA slot for compact flash storage allows virtually unlimited test storage and future optional enhancements, in addition to the internal memory which can store up to 6000 tests; USB port allows tests to be quickly and directly uploaded to the PC; advanced user interface, including context sensitive help, for improved productivity; software that supports graphs for report
customization; remote unit can initiate auto tests for improved productivity in one-person operations; remote unit has two-line black-and-white display supplying test progress and results. The new 7G also provides important cost savings because of its unusual link adapter scheme, which significantly reduces the unit's lifetime cost of ownership. It lets users replace patch cords, should they ever wear out, rather than replace the entire link assembly. Moreover, because there are no bulky adapters extending from the unit, it is extremely user-friendly and compact. All the adapters fit securely inside the case.
