Protek: High Power Density Supplies
High-density power supply.
Englewood, NJ — Protek Power North America is introducing the PM650 Series of 650WAC/DC switching power supplies, which reportedly offer a performance packed design and compliance to worldwide EN60101-1 medical safety standards. The power supplies have a power factor corrected universal input and single, dual and triple output models with versatile attributes of floating and adjustable output voltages.

The supplies are packaged in a 10.5 x 5 x 2.5-in. enclosure with U-bracket or enclosed (with recessed internal fan) mechanical configurations. The optional, integral cover and fan assembly, or user supplied moving air, allows for a full 650W of power from 0 to 50°C, with derated output power up to 70°C.

The power supplies have both line and neutral fused to comply with European safety requirements. They also have comprehensive protection circuitry including overvoltage, short circuit, and thermal protection. Status signaling including remote sense, remote inhibit and power fail detect are standard.

Quality design/manufacturing, high efficiency and high MTBF make the PM650 Series an appropriate choice for critical applications.
