OK Int'l Launches Dual Output Soldering/Rework System
Soldering and rework system.
Garden Grove, CA — OK International's new MFR-2200 Series Soldering and Rework System delivers a high power, flexible solution for production hand soldering, touch-up and SMD rework. Incorporating the renowned response and control of SmartHeat® Technology, the new system incorporates the ability to operate one or two different handpieces at the same time.

According to the company, the new system provides significant new capability for manufacturers who need both power and flexibility. The operation of one or two handpieces is enabled by the simple flip of a switch.

In addition, SmartHeat Technology assures extremely responsive and highly controlled heating because it uniquely responds to the thermal load demand and delivers only the energy needed to complete each connection.

Supporting the new system's simultaneous dual port operation are three different handpieces and a comprehensive range of soldering and rework cartridges, similar to the company's Metcal range, as well as tips. These include a cartridge handpiece with a variety of fine access and SMD rework tips, a high power soldering tip handpiece designed especially for volume production environments, and also a precision tweezer handpiece capable of removing a range of components from 0201 chips to 28mm SOICs.
