Clean Room Glovebox from Litron
Welding inside a glovebox hermetic sealing system.
Agawam, MA — Litron, Inc.'s new clean room is designed to deliver hermetically sealed components virtually free of impurities, corrosive moisture, and damaging electrostatic discharge. The company now houses its glovebox units in a 3,000-square foot Class 100,000 Clean Room. This adds an important new level of protection for manufacturers providing electronics, fiberoptics or microwave technology for cockpits, defense systems and satellites and other critical components.
Radar or sophisticated aerospace communications equipment are mission-critical components that have (and demand) a very long shelf life. According to the company, many outsourcing partners provide glovebox hermetic sealing, but it is rare — maybe even unique — to find the same level of protection for components as they travel through a vendor's plant. The company believes that this is a valuable new contribution to the efficacy of mission-critical equipment manufacturers' electronic devices.
