Schaffner: New IEC Inlet Filter
In-line filter.
Edison, NJ — Schaffner EMC has introduced its FN9233 IEC inlet filter series offering greater attenuation of 6dB as compared to the FN9222 series. Offering high symmetrical and asymmetrical attenuation performance, the filter was developed for devices and switching power supply units that require a high level of interference suppression such as in electrical, test and measurement, office automation and datacom equipment applications.
Based on inductors with high saturation resistance and excellent thermal behavior, the filters reportedly offer exceptional conducted attenuation performance. In addition, an optional earth line choke enhances the filter's performance with its ability to filter interference and reduce interference signals on the ground wire. The new filter series offers a choice of output connections and has various mounting options that enable maximum flexibility for assembly and installation. This series includes snap-in versions (S and S1 type) and standard or wide mounting flanges are available. The device is designed for a maximum continuous operating voltage of 250VAC, 50/60Hz, and frequency range of DC to 400Hz. The filter has a current rating of 1 to 15Amps at a 40°C and is RoHS-compliant.
