DegreeC Intros Bus Fan Tray Controller
Bus fan tray controller.
Milford, NH — Degree Controls, Inc. has introduced a new ATCA-compliant dual IPMI bus fan tray controller for use with the company's engineered thermal solutions for electronic equipment. This feature-rich thermal controller offers real-time IPMI-based selection of fan tray mode for synchronized, closed-loop control of RPMs, using any combination of inlet/exhaust or blade-sensed temperatures.
The controller offers real-time IPMI-based configuration of alarm thresholds and fan control curve set points, plus access to fan speeds, PWM values, temperature, and CLEI code identification. It provides private I2C-based communications bus between fan trays for chassis containing multiple fan trays; it incorporates fire response functionality either to reduce or increase fan speed, depending on chassis architecture.
This flexible controller also has multiple filter clog and maintenance schemes, fan failure prediction and monitoring, and designed fault speed. The controller operates with the company's standard voltage regulator circuit in which a wide voltage input (36-75VDC) can be regulated to 48VDC nominal.
