20 from ECD saves its users production time by profiling those complex boards in a single pass. Eliminating the need for multiple runs also helps eliminate the errors that multiple runs often produce. When profiling complex boards with a wide variety of component types and thermal masses, challenges abound. A thermal profiler with 20 channels helps solve those problems.
The MAP
®
software is highly flexible, allowing customizable data extraction and customizable reports. This is a clear advantage during the critical New Product Introduction (NPI) phase of product development, where characterization of thermal performance is paramount.
With the 20 channels conveniently contained in only four "nano connector" thermocouples, connection times and related errors are greatly reduced. The advanced software makes it possible to focus on individual complex components such as BGAs and the area around them, highlighting "Delta-T" for an engineer — at a glance. Corner-to corner plus top and bottom measurements can be grouped for analysis of differentials.
In addition to eliminating the multiple runs and saving production time and costs, the single-pass capability also reduces wear and tear on prototype assemblies or golden boards.
