Jena, Germany — Goepel electronic has introduced a new version of the successful in-line OptiCon Advanced Line AOI system. The improved version provides an increase in test speed by up to 30 percent. This is achieved with a combination of a new linear drive concept which enables high speed positioning of the camera module with high precision/low vibration stability through application of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFK).
In addition, the innovative Flash@Motion™ technology guarantees minimal image capture times. The integrated Extended Color Technology™ in combination with completely new intelligent detection techniques for reading color codes on components enables an increased level of fault recognition. Just like an OCR function, the detected value is available for further evaluation. Furthermore, high resolution color images of detected false calls guarantee a more natural and therefore more reliable fault classification at the repair station.
