Omron Intros Slim Line 5 Amp Relay
Slim line power relay.
Schaumburg, IL — Omron Electronic Components LLC has introduced the G5T series of slim power PC board relays measuring just 7.0 x 20.4 x 15.0mm (WLH) making them especially suitable for high density applications. The relays have been designed to deliver up to a 50 percent cost savings to OEMs as compared to other relays with similar features. The G5T has a unique footprint and has a switching capability of 5A at 250VAC/30VDC.

The relays will reportedly deliver a minimum of 30,000 operations at rated load. According to the company, they are very energy efficient, consuming approximately 200mW of Nominal Power. They have a 10kV impulse withstand voltage between coil and contacts. Standard coil versions include 5, 12, and 24VDC. The relay has a Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) of {GTE}250V and is UL, CSA, and VDE approved as well as being RoHS compliant. Other characteristics include an ambient operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C (without icing or condensation) in a relative humidity of 5 to 85 percent.

Contact resistance is 100mΩ max with insulation resistance 1000MΩ min (at 500VDC) and dielectric strength of 4,000VAC, 50/60Hz for 1 min. between coil and contacts and 750VAC 50/60Hz for 1 min. between contacts of the same polarity.

Target applications include water heaters, ventilation & zone control, air conditioners, refrigeration, and PLC output controls.
