Kycon Introduces 0.50mm Pitch Connectors
Connectors for small devices.
San Jose, CA — To meet voracious consumer demand for small, reliable electronic devices, Kycon has its micro board-to-board connector product series to include an additional 0.50mm (0.020-in.) pitch version — the K050D Series. The new connectors have a low profile board stacking height — as low as 1.5 to 6.5mm — that allows cost-efficient and space-saving solutions for applications in portable electronics.

Useful in the design of such products as digital cameras, mobile phones and MP3 players, the new connectors are part of the company's extensive line of board-to-board connectors that includes pitch versions of 0.50mm (0.020-in.), 0.80mm (0.031-in.), and 1.0mm (0.039-in.). The K050D Series incorporates many of the same key features as the company's other micro board-to-board connectors, such as a surface mount plug and socket and circuit sizes from 10-120.
