Fawn Electronics Rebuilds After Devastating Fire
Inside the brand-new Fawn plant in North Carolina.
Nashville, NC — Fawn Electronics Company has completed the move to its new manufacturing site in the Nashville Business Center in Nash County, NC. The new 47,000 sq. ft. facility employs 90-100 employees. The location is within five minutes of two major interstates and in close proximity to Raleigh.

"While we didn't take this path by choice, we have tried to capitalize on the situation by re-building a facility that is larger and more flexible in terms of production capabilities than the facility we lost two years ago," said Art Rutledge, president, Fawn Electronics Company.

"Over the last year we've added several customers whose projects are beginning to ramp to volume, so planning for growth is very timely," Rutledge continued.

Fawn's original plant site in Elm City, NC was destroyed in a fire in December 2005. The operation was relocated to a temporary facility in Wilson, NC while a new permanent site was selected and the facility was constructed. The company has invested over $2 million in new production equipment which includes replacement of previous capabilities, as well as the addition of new capabilities. Fawn Electronics offers board-level and systems level electronics manufacturing services through its Nashville, North Carolina facility. The company is a subsidiary of Fawn Industries, headquartered in Timonium, MD. The company operates facilities in North Carolina, Mexico and China.
