Dr. Xiangyang Song Joins JPSA Laser Engineering Team
Manchester, NH — Xiangyang Song, Ph.D., has joined the engineering team at J. P. Sercel Associates (JPSA). Dr. Song joins JPSA's team of laser technology scientists as an applications and process engineering specialist, working in JPSA's core competencies of UV excimer and DPSS materials processing, across a wide range of industries from wafer singulation and LED lift-off for semiconductor packaging to micromachining.
His work will encompass a full spectrum of materials for electronics applications, as well as biomedical research and medical products manufacturing.
Dr. Song previously worked at Argonne National Laboratory and at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he specialized in femtosecond laser research using Ti: Sapphire and Excimer lasers. He earned his Ph.D. from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has more than a decade of working experience in applied optics, X-ray, and laser technology and research, and extensive experience with various types of lasers.
