Fume Extraction System from Cooper Hand Tools
Fume extraction system.
Apex, NC — Cooper Hand Tools is introducing the Weller Volume Fume Extraction System (WFE2ES) to capture particles and pollutants produced by the soldering process. This new system is especially suitable for solder baths, hot air soldering, micro soldering and adhesive applications. The company reportedly developed the extraction system because the switch to lead-free alloys increases the level of breathable airborne pollutants.
According to the company, by using this system, users/workers can have a more comfortable, cleaner, and safer working environment. With a filtration efficiency of 99.5 percent, the compact filter system consists of an F5 class fine-dust filter and a Puratex compact H12 HEPA filter with active carbon. These can be upgraded to an F7 fine-dust filter and an H13 HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter for even higher efficiency.
Also, a powerful, brushless maintenance-free turbine provides fast and effective removal of pollutants from the air while offering a low noise operation of 55dBA. The system can be used with a wide variety of accessories, including extraction arms, exhaust hoods, extraction plates and more.
